The pandemic was hard on almost every industry and among the local businesses that were the most impacted, bars definitely rank way up there.

When pushed into a corner with no way to open your establishment, you start to question the nature of your brand. Is it a bar, could our brand be something else? What would people think if we started selling food? These are all valid questions and instead of pondering on “what if” and losing precious time, some businesses such as Pamplemousse actually took action. They pivoted and made an entire menu that was not only delicious, fresh and affordable, but it also took into account the travel time of takeout and delivery.

Our goal was to capture the funky, playful soul of the brand with colourful backgrounds and shapes while still having the focus be on the food itself. The menu was launched in June 2020 so we wanted to give that summery vibe that made people feel like they could have a slice of pizza in the park or order a fresh salad to enjoy on a hot day.
